Seasonal Mocktails

YUM

It’s the holiday season! You know what that means – tons of gatherings, and tons of alcohol. I used to join in and party hard, but I don't really drink anymore. I would rather just hang out and be naturally fun and stupid. #noregrets

I may not be a drinker, but I still want to partake in activities and events with a yummy non-alcoholic drink in hand. My solution is mocktails, and these are two of my favorite seasonal recipes. I’ve been making both on repeat this year.

If you haven’t tried my three favorite non-alcoholic drink recipes, check them out here. You won’t regret it.

Cranberry Vanilla Mocktail

You’ll need a cocktail shaker for this one. FANCY. Pinkies up.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large scoop vanilla bean ice cream (can substitute dairy-free)

  • 1/2 cup 100% cranberry juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon finely grated orange zest

  • 1/2 teaspoon finely grated lime zest

  • Garnish with raspberries

Step 1: Combine orange and lime zest, cranberry juice and ice cream in a shaker.

Step 2: Shake (what your momma gave you) vigorously.

Step 3: Pour into a martini glass or other fancy glass of your choice.

Step 4: Garnish with raspberries.

Step 5: Enjoy the creamy goodness.

Flavor profile: Definitely a fireside treat, this creamy, fruity cocktail reminds me of a winter sunset. It’s not too sweet, and I think that’s what makes it feel like a real cocktail.

Apple Cider Mocktail Mule

Y’all know I love ginger beer. This is a fun, seasonal take on my classic Mocktail Mule recipe

Ingredients:

  • Cooper Mug (any glass is fine)

  • Crushed ice

  • Quality apple juice

  • Ginger beer

  • Garnish with cinnamon sticks and orange slice (for looks)

Step 1: Fill mug to the top with crushed ice.

Step 2: Fill halfway with apple juice.

Step 3: Finish with ginger beer.

Step 4: Squeeze lime on top.

Step 5: Stir with cinnamon stick and leave in mug.

Step 6: ENJOY.

Flavor profile: This one is not as girly as the creamy vanilla cocktail. It has a cidery taste with refreshing bubbles.

I hope these drinks help you get through the holidays and your uncle's bad jokes!

Happy HOLLA days <3
